Terms of Service


Virtual Lessons:

Booking:

  • All Virtual Lesson Appointments are booked online through the calendar feature. If your desired time and date is unavailable please email hello@vanessavalliant.com for a request. A wait list will be compiled once all appointments are booked out and are based on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Vanessa Valliant reserves the right to reschedule your appointment, an email will be sent with reschedule dates to choose from.

  • All reschedules requested by the client are subject to availability.

Communication:

  • All communication must be done by email only

Timing:

  • Appointment time for a virtual lesson is 70 minutes

  • If the client is late to the start time of an appointment, that time will be deducted from total time of service of 70 minutes

  • If the client is more than 20 minutes late to the appointment time a cancellation fee of $199 (full service fee) and a reschedule is optional

  • No shows will result in forfeit of the full fee

  • If you are experiencing technical difficulties upon appointment time, please email hello@vanessavalliant.com for immediate assistance

Payment:

  • All Virtual Lessons are paid in full upon booking to secure your time and date of appointment

  • Payment is accepted at the time of booking via this website. All major credit and debit cards accepted

Cancellation:

  • We reserve the right to reschedule based on technical difficulties

  • All Fees are transferable yet non-refundable if they meet the below cancellation procedures

  • A 24 Hour cancellation notice is required for all virtual lessons in order for full service fee to be transferable

  • For same day cancellations, you will forfeit the full service fee of $199

  • Each Cancellation with at least 24 hours notice is allowed 1 reschedule

  • All reschedules are based on availability

  • If the 1 reschedule is cancelled, the full service fee of $199 is non-transferable and forfeited by the client

  • Vanessa Valliant reserves the right to reschedule your appointment. An email will be sent with reschedule dates to choose from

  • The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the clients including, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behavior


In Person Lessons:

Booking:

  • All in person Lessons are done at a studio located Nashville, TN in Music Row. The address will be sent upon booking

  • All In Person Lessons are booked through the calendar feature and are available on select Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday’s

  • Vanessa Valliant reserves the right to reschedule your appointment, an email will be sent with reschedule dates to choose from

  • All reschedules requested by the client are subject to availability

Communication:

  • All communication must be done by email, if you have an emergency you may call the contact number provided and leave a voicemail. Text messages will not be honored as a form of communication

  • Appointment requests may be made by email, text messages will not be honored as a form of communication

Timing:

  • All In Person Lessons are 75 minutes

  • If the client is late to the start time of an appointment, that time will be deducted from total time of service of 75 minutes

  • If the client is more than 20 minutes late to the appointment time a cancellation fee of $125 is forfeited by the client and reschedule is optional

Sick Policy:

  • If you are experiencing flu like symptoms, fever, sneezing, runny nose, pink eye, rash, or vomiting please reschedule your appointment. The health, cleanliness and safety of Vanessa Valliant and her studio space for other clients is our top priority

  • Vanessa Valliant reserves the right to reschedule based on her own health safety needs to not transfer illness to clients

Payment:

  • All in person lessons require a non-refundable, yet transferable retainer fee of $125

  • Payment for the retainer is accepted at the time of booking via this website. All major credit and debit cards accepted

  • The remaining balance is due at your appointment time in cash or credit via Square

Cancellation:

  • All retainer fees are transferable yet non-refundable if they meet the cancellation policy

  • A 24 Hour cancellation notice for all in person lessons is required in order for the retainer fee to be transferable

  • Same day cancellations will result in forfeit of the retainer fee of $125

  • Each Cancellation with at least 24 hours is allowed 1 reschedule

  • All reschedules are based on availability

  • If your 1 reschedule is cancelled, the retainer fee of $125 is non-transferable and forfeited by the client

  • Vanessa Valliant reserves the right to reschedule your appointment, an email will be sent with reschedule dates to choose from

  • The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the clients including, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behavior


Do & Go’s:

Booking:

  • All bookings are based on availability of the artist along with a first come first service basis

  • An inquiry does not reserve the project date or time

  • A written contract is required to protect both artist and client

  • Rates are based on the scope of the project

  • Travel fees may apply

  • Valet/Parking fees are to be covered by the client

Timing of Service:

  • A set time frame will be agreed upon for the Do & Go Service

  • The artist requests the client be ready to receive services 15 minutes after start time is set

  • A 15 minute set up and pack up is requested

  • The artist takes multiple clients on days of red carpet, please be respectful of timing and in full communication by email or contact number if issues arise on the day of your event

Communication:

  • All communication is done by email or voicemail

  • A contact phone number will be provided to the client for day of communication

  • Artist is not responsible for lost or missed text messages, please leave a voicemail at the contact number provided

Late Start Time:

  • For Red Carpet events the artist takes multiple bookings per event. If there is a late start due to filming, flight delay or other reasons beyond the artists control, the artist will attempt to accommodate a rescheduled start time later in the day. Change of time is not guaranteed and based on availability of the artist.

  • Late start on the day of the event that result in cancellation due to time being unavailable to reschedule the day of the event will be subject to a kill fee of 100% of the total amount due for the service

Payment:

  • Payment is due 24 hours after event date

  • A non-refundable retainer may be required and is determined based on the date to secure appointment time

  • Payment is accepted via invoice provided to the client for an online credit card payment option

  • Valet/parking fees are to be paid by the client

  • Travel fees include travel day rate, airfare, hotel, car/transportation and $65 per diem per day

  • Travel fees 30 miles outside of Nashville, TN require $1 per mile, round-trip plus an hourly rate for a 2+ hour commute to the location

Cancellation:

  • Within 72 hours of event date

  • Same day cancellation will result in the full quoted rate within 24 hours of original scheduled appointment

  • A 72 hour cancellation will result in forfeit of the retainer fee

  • A cancellation due to weather, travel conditions or budget deductions or relocation of event is beyond the artists control and results in a kill fee

  • The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the clients including, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behavior

Reschedule:

  • Reschedule of project will be based on artist availability

  • If a contract has been signed and the artist is unavailable for the reschedule date(s), full project rate is due to the artist

Kill Fee:

  • A kill fee of 75% of quote will be charged to the client if there is a cancellation within 24 hours of project start time

  • A kill fee of 50% of quote will be charged to the client if there is a cancellation within 3 days to project start time

  • A kill fee of 100% of total quote for project will be required due to weather, travel conditions, budget deductions, relocation of project or full cancellation of project by the client

  • A kill fee of 100% of quote is required for any reschedule dates the artist is unavailable for

  • Late start on the day of the event that result in cancellation due to time being unavailable to reschedule the day of the event will be subject to a kill fee of 100% of the total amount due for the service


On Set Work:

Booking:

  • All bookings are based on availability of the artist along with a first come first service basis

  • A written contract is required to protect both artist and client

  • Projects may require a retainer fee, please inquire

  • An inquiry does not reserve the project date or time

  • Rates are based on the scope of the project

  • Travel fees may apply

  • Valet/Parking fees are to be covered by the client

Working Conditions:

  • A four hour day requires a 30 minute break

  • An 8 hour day requires a 1 hour break

  • Overtime will be charged after 8 hours in studio and 10 hours on location

  • Electric outlets or generators must be provided by client

  • Harsh weather conditions due to heat, on location in water, on train tracks, air fields, construction sites or high altitudes must be included in the contract

Payment:

  • Payment is due on a 30 day term after project date

  • Payment is accepted via check from accounting or via invoice provided to the client for an online credit card payment option

  • A late fee of 15% of total balance due will be applied to principle amount if it exceeds the 30 day terms

  • Valet/parking fees are to be paid by the client

  • Travel fees include travel day rate, airfare, hotel, car/transportation and $65 per diem per day

  • Travel fees 30 miles outside of Nashville, TN require $1 per mile, round-trip plus an hourly rate will be added for locations that require a 2+ hour drive time

Cancellation:

  • Cancellation within 3-7 business days will require a kill fee

  • A cancellation due to weather, travel conditions or budget deductions will require a kill fee and are out of the artists control

  • The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the clients including, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behavior

Kill Fee:

  • 24 hours to project date. A kill fee of 100% of project will be due to the artist with a 30 day term

  • 72 hours to project date. A kill fee of 50% of project will be due to the artist with a 30 day term

  • 4-7 business days no fee required

Personal Details:

  • You will be required to give Vanessa Valliant your full contact details including mobile number, home, hotel or studio address and e-mail address. Please note this will be kept in a secure and safe place and never shared with anyone, however we may contact you after your service to request feedback.

Responsibility of the client:

  • The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition

  • The client/talent releases, Vanessa Valliant, to any legal responsibility due to reaction to products used during your service and/or the talents service on set

  • If the client or party requires a patch test for any products, this can be arranged and charged according to the agreed fee.

  • The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behavior


Travel:

  • Travel fees may include travel day rate, airfare, hotel, transportation and per diem

  • Per Diem for out of town travel requires $65 per day

  • Drive time of 2+ hours require an hourly fee of $75 per hour in addition to mileage fee

  • Mileage fee is $1 per mile

  • All services within 25 miles of Nashville, TN, no travel fee is requires


Parking:

  • Parking and Valet fees are to be covered by the client

  • Parking fees for on location services will be added to the final invoice

  • Valet fees at hotel(s) will be charged to the clients room


Photographs/Social Media:

  • Before and After Photos will be taken for each client by verbal consent

  • For all social media posts, verbal consent will be asked by the artist of the client prior to posting

  • Photographs used by photographers on social media will be given proper credit

  • Photographs released to the artist or found online will be used in the Portfolio section of vanessavalliant.com
